The Spaminator is here to kick some you-know-what
As most of the regulars know, I've had some spam problems in recent months that was interfering with the comments sections. After a temporary move to WordPress (which proved disastrous on several levels) I'm back with Movable Type, but now have some anti-spam action in place to get rid of those 300+ ads a day for texas hold'em and viagra.
The comments are permanently open. Sorry, though, to a few folks whose comments I accidentally deleted on the last post. That was an error on my part. I'm just an error-prone person.
Viva la Movable Type!
Comments
Ah, I am so very sorry to hear that your attempt with WordPress didn't work out, Drina. But I'm glad to hear that comments are back. Hope it works out better this time. :D
Courtney on July 24, 2005 07:36 PMCourt, I didn't dislike WordPress so much... there were actually some things about it I thought were pretty cool. But I didn't like having to edit separate templates for the main page. And I did some serious damage to a blog hosted here by installing it, so I decided it had to go.
Looks like the spaminator is working, though!
Drina on July 24, 2005 07:39 PMWell, whatever works for you. :)
Glad to see I can comment again without that dreaded TypeKey. :)

LOVELY SPAM, WONDERFUL SPAM!
Oh, dear, I hope the Spaminator doesn't put me in the comfy chair and poke me with the soft cushions!
The Acting Deputy Minister of Silly Walks, Monster from the Id
Monster from the Id on July 25, 2005 04:18 AMDrina-diva, I forgive you. Mistakes happen.
I recently joined a site called classmates.com . I used to avoid reminiscing about my educational years. The obscure single by Animotion called "I Engineer" had a couplet that more or less expressed my attitude:
"I'll leave it all behind in a cloud of dust
There's an even chance I'll shine or rust"
I've had a change of heart lately; perhaps it's from turning 42 in May.
Reeling in the years, Monster from the Id
Monster from the Id on July 25, 2005 04:53 AMThanks for forgiving me... after all the mistakes I've made lately would surely have gotten me a good flaming (or perhaps would have unleashed the bird), but such has not been the case. You guys rock!
