the only good album i heard released this year and it was green day.

i think i'm becoming a jaded twentysomething. music - along with tv and movies - was so much better when i was 15

Good picks! Kanye's album was certainly a good one, but on the big award I have to go with Green Day. American Idiot was just... amazing.

I agree! There's so much crap out there these days. I mean, when acts like Destiny's Child are winning Grammys, you know something is wrong. The only studio creation I like is Joss Stone, just because her voice is spectacular, but acts that don't write their own songs or make their own music shouldn't be awarded.

The Grammys originated in a time when nobody wrote their own songs (or, from a songwriter's viewpoint, nobody performed their own material). They really were just awards for Best Diva.
