Addendum
...and the only thing worse than the last official orientation day was the first official work day. Working (unless you're a Green Day roadie) just isn't fun. But tomorrow, I'm still going back for more. After the feel-better shopping spree I just had two hours ago, I'm going to need the paycheck now more than ever.
Someone, wake me up at my retirement party.
Complaint over.

Hi Drina
Well, I'm glad you'll get paid at the end of it. Just a question - is there any chance of anyone who employs you reading this?
Cheers - Steve
Steve on February 9, 2005 03:40 AMMonster, there certainly are a lot of great problems with Bush's plans for Social Security. Mainly, his plans for Social Security. That's why I'll probably die at work. Maybe next week.
Steve, maybe. If I get fired, though, it might not be entirely a bad thing. I might get a new job. One that doesn't stink so much.

Drina, are you sure we'll GET to retire? We won't have any Social Security to speak of unless the Democrats finally find a spine and stop Emperor Doofus Maximus and the Imperial Spendthrift Party (AKA the GOP) from ruining Social Security so their rich friends on Wall Street can send them kickbacks from their fat agents' fees.
Greg Palast said it all: "...I couldn't shake the feeling that this election was an intelligence test, and America flunked."
Or as I put it, we are all Ned Beatty now.
